Good Morning,

I am sorry about your neighbor Rhonda, I lost my best friend to cancer at the age of 49.  I went through the tough times with her, and it was one of the worse experiences of my life,  She can never be replaced, and part of me went with her when she left. We had been friends since freshman in high school.  It will be a tough road, but my prayers are with you and your neighbor.

Barb I am so glad that you "found" somewhere else for Bert.  We dealth with that forever with my mom, and finally found a pretty nice place. You and your family will be in our prayers too.

Chris, get well hon, I know that something is going around, and don't worry about numbers...we worry more about you than how much weight we all loss.

Dougie had another bad day at work.  I told him to just go to the Fire Chief, tell him you want out now, and take the 5 weeks of vacation time and forget it.  His boss deserves nothing from Doug anylonger.  The problem now with his boss, there is no one to answer the bosses questions on how to do things, Doug is, and I ain't braggin, the only one that knows things there.  This is a big blow to the organization with him leaving, and Doug is so touched because so many people outside of the department are asking him to stay.  I know if they all knew the truth as to why Doug is retiring, they too would not continue to work under these conditions.

As for me, today Becky moves in.  I would like to ask for prayer for her.  Cir****tances have changed for her, and it will be a rough time till she finds another job.  She needs strength right now from our Lord.  Doug and I are going to help her get on her feet no matter what.  The saddest part is now she doesn't have insurance to pay for another surgery to help her out.  Makes me so sad.  On the other note for today, I have therapy....OUCH!  I am still recouping from Tuesdays.

Yesterday I went and had my hair trimmed and colored.  She did such a great job and I am so glad that my sister had found this girl.  She is so good at what she does, and as an exhairdresser, it's very hard for me to find someone that I like.  My first 20 years of work, that was my profession, let me put it like this, I learned how to cut hair with a razor and had lots of continuing education to keep up with the current trends of cutting hair with scissors.  Now they are back to razors again.   Everything goes around.

One more thing, we talk about neighbors.  I have got to tell you that I have one of the best, she is a great wonderful woman, but she ****** me off because she wears a size 2, but her heart is so pure.  She would do anything for me, or anyone.  I am so blessed to have her in my life.

Ok folks, see most of you on Sat.  Will be a fun day.  Have a great day, life is short, so be honest with others and yourself, and enjoy every minute.

Awwww, how sweet, you are the best and I am so blessed that you are taking us in and helping us out. Being suspended from my job is definitely a road block, but it won't get me down.  God must have a new plan for me and I am feeling so strong about starting this new life without Mike, this just must be a part of the new plan.
I'm so excited about living with you and I am FREE now, PRAISE GOD!!!!! Thank you for being our saviour right now, I love you so much!!!!  bigg huggs, Becky

Hi California...
To lose family, friends and neighbors to cancer or a debilitating illness is harder than losing them to moving away or anger.  We watch their light flicker out.  As we get older, we will see it far too often, some see more than they can handle.  A Belief in Someone or Something is the only strength we are promised to help us through it.  I still look for strength.  For me, some losses have been more than 22 yrs. ago and some as close as 18 months ago.  I still rely on my need to escape into faith to get thru my losses.  I thank God we were given the gift and promise of this escape.  My deepest thoughts to you Rhonda and fellow OH friends who are experiencing this path.

I go bowling once a week also....just a bunch of biddy ladies enjoying visiting time while we pay $12 to throw a ball down a wooden lane and make a bunch of noise and get awards for hitting the wooden pins when we are lucky.

Becky is a lucky gal to have her dear friend to turn to for strength and support.  If I was a long distance driver, (more than 20 miles..lol) I'd come visit to help in the physical transition.

I am toying with the idea of moving my elderly aunt (70) in with me for her final years...although she is extremely vibrant with life (a long haul truck driver for 20 yrs!).,.but oh Lordy...does she chatter on!  She lives alone in a small community on the outskirts of Phoenix.  Her daughter is a meth/cocaine addict and her son is a recluse in Colorado.(yes, my cousins) She and I always said our family puts the FUN in DysFUNctional!  She wants to will her 1 acre parcel of desert dust to me along with her 27 CATS!  I don 't want the property to deal with, and I cannot take 27 more cats...my husband is freaking with the 3 I have now..lol  She will have to get her affairs in order before I make a truly loving move for her to come here.  God Bless ya Auntie..I love ya!

OK...work continues later today on the "powder room...cuz it'll be too pretty to be just a normal bathroom..lol
Have a terrific day, California friends!

Ok, Kim, this was too funny.  I saw your post and I was like who is that person?  Must be someone new.  And then I started to read your post and went, wait a minute, looked over at the picture again and then at your name and location and I was like, that's not Kim in Fontana.  Well dang if it isn't.  You look great.  Holy Moly!!.

Anyway, just wanted to tell you that and also, Mike, who never bowled before he met me couldn't understand my enjoyment of, as he put it, "throwing rocks at sticks".  It's taken a couple of years of work, but he enjoys it now.  I actually think he enjoys the beer and dirty man talk that goes on more then the actual game.  But he still goes every week and still insists on calling it throwing rocks at sticks.

Have a great day and if you ever want more cats, you just let me know.  Must have 50 of them living outside my house and they won't go away.  Of course I suppose I could stop feeding them and that would help.  But they really are cute.

Stephanie!
Hi you funny girl you!  Yeppers, thats me,,taken on a good hair day this past June. My last avatar was the last good hair day I had 4 yrs ago..lol  Someone who is not posting anymore said I should update the pic...I told her, its the only one I had with good hair..lol  Not mentioning any names..lol  I wish I could blame it on WLS, but I've had cruddy hair since I've been a teenager.

Hey, did you know if you work with your local Humane Society, they will (have in the past anyway) offer to neuter or spay any stray or ferral cats in your neighborhood?  They give you a humane kitty trap and you take them in and they "fix'em" and you set them free again.  My crazy Cat Auntie has done over a hundred cats in her rural Phoenix area. (she gets it free or pays only $10.  She says its her way of tithing, cuz she doesn't belong to any particular church.) She has adopted out many and (ugh!!)...kept many..lol  She says the kittypans keep her bending over and exercising 3 times a day cleaning them, (she has 10 pans for the 23 indoor cats) and talking to them keeps her sane...lol  Some family members will argue that point, except me, cuz I carry on regular conversations with all my animals..lol  Plus..they really listen and don't talk back disrespectivly...except Ralphie my 18 pound cat...she bites elbows for food and insists that she be carreid to bed in the garage each night....childr....errrrrr...cats!

So nice fonting with you!
Stay happy!
Kim in Fontana

PS...we women bowlers talk dirty too!!..lol  We be BAAAAAAAADDDD  oh yeah...oh yeah!

Hey again Kim,

Oh I have had a butt load of them fixed.  Humane Society here in San Burn-our-Ghetto please will not  loan traps and yes they will spay or nueter without an appointment anything we bring in for $60.00 an animal.   In by 7:30 AM out by 2:00 PM and then keep them in my house for at least a couple of days. I've had about 20 of them done from around the neighborhood and they breed quicker then I can afford to fix them.  I'm afraid we are at the point where we are going to start trapping them and just dropping them off  because I just don't have the funds or time to continue doing this.  I've begged humane society and animal control for help, but they won't help.

As for bad hair, I'm glad you are in my club.  I almost never have good hair days anymore.  It's said but true.  And like you, never really had good hair except for in the 80's when BIG HAIR was the rage and I used so much mouse that I looked like a brillo pad box had exploded on my head.  I thought I was just so cute.  300 plus pounds with a brillo head.  Trust me, the cuteness was definitely a figment of my imagination.

Enjoy your day.
